St. Bernard Parish, Green Bay
$120 per student (chaperones are free!)
Open to students currently in 9th to 12th grade as of the 2019-2020 school year.

This mission trip is geared towards serving those here at home; however, participants will get to stay overnight at the designated locations during the week and experience other faith-building experiences. We are in need of chaperones 21 years old or older to assist with both camps, particularly in shuttling St. Bernard students to and from work-sites, but also to serve those in need as well.

In need of Chaperones:
We are in need of adult chaperones (21+ years old) to help us during camp. Chaperones would assist in transporting and working with individual groups of students at work-sites. Chaperones would need to be able to drive at least 3 students in their vehicle and chaperones are asked to stay overnight during the entire camp. There is no cost for chaperones and it is a GREAT opportunity to serve the community and witness to the youth.
Chaperones will receive a stipend for gas!

What is Love Begins Here?
Love Begins Here is a service camp that provides local, life-changing mission trips. High school and middle school camps are offered throughout our Diocese to serve those in need in our backyard, and to simply build up our neighbors in faith.

The middle school camp is a 4-day, overnight camp where students currently in grades 6-8 from different parishes all over the Diocese, come together to work, serve, and live a life of a missionary! The high school camp is very similar but it is for 5 days for students currently in grades 9-12.

Each day begins with Mass followed by a day of service out at work-sites. Students have the chance to go to the local swimming pool every day and will return to an evening program with lively talks, prayers, and community building activities. This camp is a great way to build up our students in their leadership ability, faith life, and friendship. All meals are included, students are asked to bring sleep gear (cot, air mattress, sleeping bag). A packing list will be provided at a later date.
